Joynt Tree

This part of the Joynt family is from Manchester, UK

 Joynt  Tree

great great grandfather

Henry Joynt
great grandmother  Margaret Joynt
grandfather  Henry Hartigan (Renshaw) (1878-1943)
father  James Henry Hartigan (1923-2000)
David David Hartigan

Henry Joynt was a farmer in Ireland, his daughter Margaret Joynt was born in Ireland but came to Manchester, possibly to join her siblings who were already established in the Chorlton-on-Medlock area. She married John Renshaw, then, after he died, she "married" (no trace of a marriage as such) Martin Hartigan. The cohabitation probably explains why Martin Hartigan's children are sometimes referred to as Renshaw and sometimes as Hartigan (or one of many variants of Hartigan!) Carol did most of the research, especially for the Joynt and Renshaw families, but the listing here is my own.
